Bibliography Yugoslavia:

The most detailed and differentiated study was completed back in 1978 by sociologist and former Praxis member Nebojša Popov. Publication of the study, however, was banned until 1990 (Popov, Sukobi). Since then, Popov has continued to publish on the topic. His last publication is an edited conversation of former Praxis intellectuals that also deals with the student movement (Popov ed., Sloboda I nasilje).

Apart from Popov’s work, Ralph Pervan’s study from 1978 is the only significant scientific work on the student movement (Pervan, Tito and the students). In 1984, Mirko Arsić and Dragan Marković published a rather journalistic account of the protest movement (Mirko Arsić and Dragan R. Marković, ’68. Studentski bunt i društvo, 2nd edn).

All works, however, contain shortcomings because they are based only on published sources and do not discuss the Yugoslav 1968 in the context of the global student revolt.
